GS Question of the Week

Ghost Hunters/GHI often declare one location haunted and another not so much despite evidence of paranormal activity. What criteria do you think a place needs to be called haunted?

Based on the fact that we really don't know for sure what is being captured on audio, video, or photo's for that matter, we can't say for certain that any given location is haunted. While I will acknowledge that paranormal activity does seem to exist, we need to better understand what it is paranormal researchers are in fact capturing before we can declare a location "haunted". GH and GHI are far to inconsistent to be taken seriously. Those shows are there for nothing more that pure entertainment.

I think it depends on how much 'hard evidence' they're able to capture. There are some places they've visited where there seems to be evidence of the paranormal, but most of it is personal experience while at others there are EVPs, video and EMF or K2 evidence to back up personal experiences.
I agree that, lately, GH/GHI have been somewhat inconsistent - I miss the first two seasons where there seemed to be a lot more skepticism.
