No. It's not for the romantic notions that ghosts only come out at night, but the fact is that daytime brings with it traffic, people, activity, helicopters, and more. In the dark, we can discern something blocking out the tiny bit of light in a room, but in the daytime, we cannot see light being blocked out by something moving by, our pupils are too constricted. The sounds and traffic of daytime make listening for sounds tougher.
